In this webinar, Dr. Brewerton will talk about some of the common misconceptions that many psychiatrists and therapists have about Dissociative Identity Disorder DID and will highlight some of the evolving concepts from psychotherapy theory and practice, epidemiology, and neuroscience that now establish DID as a validated, trauma-based, and very treatable psychiatric disorder that all too often remains hidden from detection.
Dr. Tim Brewerton will also describe his five-hour online course (with CME’s) on dissociative identity disorder (DID) in which he talks about the first case of DID that he diagnosed in 1988 and treated over the next four and a half years. Dr. Brewerton’s course offers course participants a rare opportunity to compassionately witness a patient process her extensive childhood traumas and progress to full integration.
