Michael Dickerson, DNP, FNP-C, has a background in both science and healthcare and currently has a precision medicine practice in the Kansas City area. As a geneticist, he has taught science courses for pre-med, nursing, and radiology students for over 20 years, including developing one of the nation’s first clinical genetics courses in the early 2000s. His research focus is on the genetics of mental health, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction, and autism. In addition, he has experience in physical rehabilitation following stroke and traumatic brain injuries.
