Overview
Affecting people of all ages and walks of life, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric ailment characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts that elicit anxiety. To alleviate anxiety, sufferers often engage in specific, repetitive behaviors (compulsions) or uncontrollable, repetitive thoughts. Those with OCD are aware that their thoughts and behaviors are abnormal, but often cannot control them. As a result, OCD can significantly negatively impact and interfere with a sufferer’s life.
Multiple biological factors are robustly associated with OCD, which gives providers and patients hope for redefining OCD therapies with more personalized, targeted treatment. Unlike the traditional psychiatric approach to OCD—which is both limited and associated with high rates of treatment failure—a functional, root cause approach considers specific biological factors, such as dysfunctions of serotonin pathways.
This webinar will explore the biological triggers of OCD and discuss the clinical utility of inositol, a B vitamin that plays vital roles in serotonin signaling and has demonstrated significant benefits for individuals struggling with OCD. Attendees will come away with an expanded clinical toolkit and proven, evidence-based strategies for inositol supplementation to help optimize recovery and outcomes for OCD patients.
This webinar lightly touches upon the fundamentals of our Breakthrough OCD Intensive training, where you can delve deeper into these topics, get hands-on guidance, and further refine your clinical skills for patient treatment. Don’t miss the opportunity to transform your approach to OCD treatment with our targeted training–and make a lasting impact on patient care.
