Overview

The Introduction to Functional Psychiatry Course Bundle (formerly the Fundamentals Bundle) is ideal for healthcare professionals with limited prior experience in functional or integrative medicine. This bundle provides a strong introductory foundation in the basic concepts, tenets, and models of functional medicine for psychiatric illness, with a focus on the treatment of ADHD, depression and anxiety. This curriculum bridges concept and application in basic functional psychiatry, while also providing a launch point for registrants who may wish to pursue more advanced coursework or Fellowship training.

Blending empirically-validated theory with evidence-based research and invaluable clinical pearls, these courses help providers move beyond outdated models of psychiatric polypharmacy, improve patient outcomes by treating causes, not symptoms, and participate in the evolution of modern psychiatry by mastering balance in practice.

Intro to Functional Psychiatry for Depression & Anxiety

Taught by Dr. James Greenblatt, this introductory video webinar explores nutritional, digestive, metabolic, and inflammatory abnormalities shown to contribute to the pathogenesis of depression and anxiety; illuminates the biologic pathways and mechanisms through which these factors influence brain function; and identifies evidence-based functional medicine approaches for testing to inform personalized medicine treatment.

Functional & Integrative Medicine for ADHD

This three-module course introduces Dr. Greenblatt’s breakthrough Plus/Minus treatment plan for ADHD patients, while also providing a comprehensive overview of the biochemistry that contributes to this disorder.
